Are Swift buildings as permanent as traditional brick/block structures?

Very much so.  Although excitingly different to many people in the UK, the principals and technology of SIP buildings are very well established.  The SIP technology is a leap forward from timber frame construction.  The panels are stronger, better insulated and are completely pre-prepared off-site.  BBA approval ensures that stringent regulations for safety, durability and strength are maintained.

Do I need planning permission for a commercial room?

In some cases your commercial room can be built within "permitted development rights."  This is a collection of allowable developments that you can build onto, or in the grounds of your commercial property.  We happily discuss these issues with you.

Where planning permission is required, we are able to undertake this on your behalf.  We are proud to say that since Swift started business we have been successful in all of our planning applications, including some very complicated and intense cases.

Will my new Swift commercial building have to pass any building regulations?

Yes.  In almost all cases when we are providing such buildings, the works will be subject to building control approval.  This is simply a set of regulations to ensure that your new rooms are safe, will last a long time, be environmentally sound and perform as they should.... all the values which we uphold as a responsible company in the construction industry.  We give you specific advice when we meet you and carry out a site survey.  In any of our projects, when building regulations are involved, we ensure that all standards are met and certification is obtained.

What if you are building on a site with limited access?

Swift’s buildings are of pre-fabricated construction and are flat packed in modular panels.  In most situations these are carried through limited access routes.  Our site survey clarifies how we overcome any individual challenges regarding access.  We even carry out full installations when the only form of access is through existing buildings and this includes protection measures for your internal environment to avoid any damage to existing flooring, door frames etc. 

Who will construct my building?

Our fully trained, professional and customer focused team carry out the complete build with the minimum of disruption and with due care and attention.  When your building is completed, your new space is cleaned, the area tidied and you take possession of your new Swift commercial building.

How do I include modern connectivity facilities in my new room?

Many of our projects will include the requirement that there is to be a TV installed, computers and telephones.  Modern electronic technology can provide impressive control systems including remote activation from your phones, laptops and tablets, etc.  We will listen to what you need and advise you on the options that are open to you, and perhaps offer interesting upgrades to the rest of your operstion.

What is included in the price?

Everything that you ask for!  There are no hidden costs.  We listen to what you want, discuss the options and provide you with a fully detailed and inclusive quotation.  We clearly state your investment, stating VAT liabilities, and if there are any likely additional costs then you are made fully aware of them... or you don’t pay for them!

What warranty do I have with my Swift Organisation building?

All our commercial buildings have an industry leading, 10-year structural warranty. 

How long does the process take?

We carry out all kinds of commercial projects.  In every case we do not forsake quality for speed.  However, as our name suggests, we don't like to waste a moment and we project manage our work so it becomes the most efficient and straightforward process for you.

Typically for a single commercial room, lead time is 3 to 6 weeks with a completed build time of less than 3 weeks.  Where bathroom and toilet facilities are included, this may increase the time.

Are there any finance options available to me?

 Yes.  When your investment is for business use, you will have a range of options to choose from.  Whilst we are licensed credit brokers, we prefer to pass your enquiry onto experts who can specialise in giving you confidential financial advice that is matched to your own circumstances.  Please ask for details.
